Answer 1 of 6: We will be in Prague for 6 days starting next week and are considering renting a car in Prague to do a day trip to Cesky Krumlov Would like to know if there are any places that are worth stopping at to see on the way

They have door-to-door service 4x a day. Shared van around €35/person. Highly recommended on RS Forum. We plan on using the service this year- Vienna>>Cesky Krumlov then Cesky Krumlov>>Prague. Salzburg>>Cesky Krumlov is 3 hours. Others can speak to their train experience.

Český Krumlov. Český Krumlov (German: Krumau) is a beautiful town of 14,600 inhabitants in Southern Bohemia, in the Czech Republic. Like Prague, the town is situated on the Vltava River and is full of Baroque buildings housing cafes and bars, features a spectacular castle (the second largest in the Czech Republic ), and an old-town square.

The usual way to get Cesky Krumlov is the bus RegioJet from the station "Na Knížecí", it's in the Prague district Smíchov, close to metro Anděl (5 min. by foot) or by tram # 4, 5, 7, 9, 12, 20, 21 to "Na Knížecí" tram stop. The buses are quite comfortable, including tee, coffee and WC.

FlixBus operates a bus from Telč to Český Krumlov once daily. Tickets cost 290 Kč - 410 Kč and the journey takes 2h 30m. Alternatively, you can take a train from Telč to Český Krumlov via Jihlava Mesto and Ceske Budejovice in around 5h 43m. Train operators.

We've done both Prague and Cesky Krumlov and both are wonderful but very different in character. Prague is a major city, the seat of government, a cultural/historic center, etc. In short, you could easily find enough to do there to last weeks. Once you get past the usual tourist stops (worth it) there is much else to do such as renting a boat Trains link Prague with Cesky Krumlov every 2 hours through the day. The trip takes 3 and a half hours each way. Trains depart from the Hlavní Nádraží station. Pre-booking is not necessary. A taxi ride from Cesky Krumlov’s train station to the center of town will be needed. Vienna to Cesky Krumlov. When visiting Cesky Krumlov, I was KcpS.
