7890 kicks ass. unless the extra 100lbs is really a problem, i'd get 7/890. as someone mentioned, there really is no great seat solution for 690. seat concepts offers the best option. i've done 300+ miles days on 690 and, even with the best one-piece seat, a two-piece s seat (especially, if built by sargent) is so much more comfortable.

At 6' 2" I can't offer a lot of direct help but what I can say is that my mate who is 5'6" and rides a lowered GS is fine on the standard suspension and seat. I would have thought, at most, the lowered seat would see you right. Worth trying one at the dealers.
