Super EBC is Fujinon's brand of multicoating, standing for Super Electron-Beam Coated. XF is Fuji's line of good lenses for their X-mount cameras. R means it has an It's WR, smaller, lighter and has better AF, so it feels like a better all around lens for my needs: if I could stuck one or more extension tubes to reach that 0.5:1 or somewhere around that ballpark, then swapping the 60mm for the 50mm sounds like the best choice to me.
