Thought that it was standard on Androids as there were no warning signs that it isn't. I live in a 'no service' area and relied on my iPhone's' ability to use wifi calling and texting. Now that I've upgraded to a Huawei P20 Pro I'm shocked to learn that it is not a feature. Please integrate Huawei phones into the fold.
Sorted by: 6. Turn off Connection Optimizer. Settings -> More Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Connections optimizer -> TickOff connections Optimizer. Or Turn Off Wifi Timer.
